Dominated by an ancient Spanish tower, encased in a magnificent fjord between the limestone cliffs, is Cala Domestica, one of the most beautiful beaches of Sardinia, is located 2 km south of Buggerru.
The beach is located at the end of a deep inlet on the coast, was used until 1940 as a port of export of minerals from the mines in the area, evidence of this period still remain the ruins of several buildings, including the ruins of the warehouse mine.
It also includes another beach called The Cove, which can be accessed through a tunnel dug by miners.
